ICS at Mozaic’s 29th Annual Golf Tournament
This summer, the ICS team traded keyboards for golf clubs and spent a morning on the course at Mozaic’s 29th Annual Golf Tournament — and it reminded us exactly why we do what we do. For nearly three decades, this tournament has grown into one of the most anticipated events on the Finger Lakes calendar, and after finally getting the whole team out there this year, it’s easy to see why.
Mozaic has been a partner of ours for more than 10 years — a relationship that stretches back before we became ICS, through two mergers on their side and our own growth on ours. Watching an organization evolve, optimize, and expand its impact over a decade is a rare privilege, and it’s one we don’t take for granted.
A Mission That Puts People First
Mozaic is one of roughly 35 local chapters of The Arc New York, the largest provider of support and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New York State. Every dollar raised at the tournament flows directly back into that mission.
As Mozaic’s Marketing Director, Karissa Hefferon, put it:
“All of the proceeds circle back into our mission to continue to provide programs and services for people with disabilities across all of our counties.”

That reach keeps growing. Mozaic recently expanded into Oswego County, and today serves families across Cayuga, Seneca, Yates, Tompkins, Oswego, and Ontario counties — support that has already touched more than 2,500 people and families with disabilities in the Finger Lakes region.
Built on Community, Sustained by Relationships
Ask Karissa what has kept this tradition alive for 29 years, and the answer is immediate:

It shows in the numbers. Roughly 70% of the teams on the course are people and businesses Mozaic has built genuine relationships with over the years. The volunteer turnout tells the same story — around 15 volunteers made the day run, plus the people Mozaic supports who greeted golfers with smiling faces as they arrived. It’s the kind of event Karissa says she barely has to recruit for.
“This is one of the events I usually don’t even have to post to have volunteers at. People email me and say, ‘put me down for the golf tournament.’”

A Little Friendly Competition
This year, ICS was proud to sponsor the Hole-in-One challenge on Hole #3 — where a perfect shot won a $1,000 credit to Revo. The course games are where the day’s energy lives, and they’re Karissa’s favorite part too: watching partners come through, cheering each other on, and celebrating every near-miss like a win.

And we didn’t just sponsor — we competed. ICS’s own Coleen took home Longest Drive honors, a highlight the whole team is still talking about.
Why This Matters to ICS
We’re a technology partner — but we’ve always believed the technology is just the vehicle. In a time when so much of business feels disconnected, events like this let us live out what we actually stand for.
