The end of the year is closing in quickly, fall is already upon us. You know what that means don’t you? It’s time for another release of Dynamics GP! More features, security enhancements, and bug fixes. GP’s October 2020 Release 18.3. is packed with new features! One great example is the enhancement to Excel Copy/Paste decimals places to currency setup and disable system print dialog box. This update makes life so much easier. Especially when printing a Word Template. Many of the new features in this update were requested by the GP user community! Microsoft continues to stay committed to empowering their users by making their voices heard. Don’t forget that your input matters! Especially as Microsoft work’s on future releases. After all, these updates are made to make life easier for you. Over time you may even run across an update you suggested.
Additionally, some highly anticipated bug fixes are packed into this year’s update. One fix included in the GP 18.3 is a fix to the issue with reprinting sales posting journal no data returned. This error typically occurred when filtering by date if the transaction was posted on the fly and view Workflow History window was not showing the final approver name that is stored in the WF30100. There are many more bugs that have been addressed as well, including the Word Template print issue that was created with the September 2020 Office update. Also, support has now been added for multi-factor authentication (MFA) for email and TLS 1.2

As noted in the Microsoft GP Lifecycle policy, it is important to do at least one update a year to stay current.
